It was a hot, steamy afternoon on Saturday, June 11th, but eight teens from St. James’ discovered a great way to stay cool! Accompanied by Father John and Beth and Steve Sharamatew, they departed from Northbrook Canoe Company along the scenic Brandywine River in suburban West Chester and leisurely paddled for a two hour trip. Several stops were made to plunge in and cool off. Despite going downstream backwards, sideways, running aground and even making emergency dives beneath low hanging branches, everyone had a great time!
