The photo above is shared by our parish administrator, someone with a long history with St. James’. Luann tells us about the history of the items in the picture.
The picture of St. James’ was painted by Dori Smith (deceased member), mother of Diane Umile, one of the original members of Forever Endeavour.
The Christmas tree and ornaments belonged to the Women of St. James’. The tree was used at the Christmas bazaar to sell ornaments.
The angel on top of the tree was made by Pat Jones (deceased member).
The angel on the table was a gift from Luann’s mom.
The star was in a box of Christmas lights Cathy Weisser donated to the Thrift Shop.
The music box was a gift, and when he was really little, Adam Carango loved to play with it when he and his mom Mandy Watson would come in to the office to visit.
The snowman came from the Thrift Shop.
Luann completes the story about the history of the picture reminding us that …
It is so joyful when little things have so much meaning and wonderful memories.”
Treasure the little things this holiday season.
