Ladies Craft Night
Wednesday, September 14 at 7pm
in Bartholomew Hall
“The St. James’ Scallop Shell Wreath”
The scallop shell is a symbol of Saint James, our patron. Long time members Dixie Gailey, who passed away in 2009, gave the wreaths as a gift to our rector over the years. When Dixie was no longer able to make the wreaths, the shells she collected (and others collected for her) where given to the parish office for safe keeping.
What better way to remember Dixie then by having the ladies on craft night try their hand at making a wreath. So in September we will be making scallop shell wreaths.
Shells, wreaths and other materials will be provided and cost is to be determined.
