One of the seven (7) Outreach ministries that St. James’ offers for its parishioners and the community is providing assistance to Lord’s Pantry of Downingtown.
Fr. John Symonds and Catherine “Mike” Hernandez make an end-of-the-month delivery in September of newly-harvested carrots and green beans. These vegetables and many others have been grown this summer in the parish’s raised beds which adjoin the rear parking lot.

A special thanks to all of those who were instrumental in resurrecting this food assistance ministry to the Lord’s Pantry of Downingtown: Laura Harding; Parish Administrator Luann McIlvaine and her husband Pete, Beth Sharamatew, Mike Hernandez, and Lorie Petrie.
