Lord’s Pantry Adopt A Family for Christmas

10/12/2020 by Christine Deitcher

A Message from the Lord’s Pantry:

As the holiday season approaches during this Pandemic, we had to make some hard decisions.  This year, more than ever, our families need our help.  As you know, our Christmas distribution requires a very large space and requires many volunteers/donors – neither which are safe or advisable under the current conditions.

The only safe solution would be to give our families gift cards so they could purchase gifts for their own children…

That being said, we know everyone enjoys shopping for our families but nothing is normal this year during this Pandemic.  You can still participate by making a monetary donation and we would certainly welcome your support.

Monetary donations noting “Christmas” can be mailed to: Lord’s Pantry, 141 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335.  Online donations may also be made through our website at: LordsPantryofDowningtown.org – please designate for “Christmas”.

Thanking you in advance for your support and understanding of our situation.  We wish you all a safe and healthy holiday season!”

About Saint James

There are a number of Saint Jameses in the New Testament – Saint James the brother of Jesus (‘St. James the Just’), Saint James the son of Zebedee (‘St. James the Great’) and Saint James the son of Alphaeus (‘St. James the Less’). The shells that adorn the outside of the parish hall (a symbol of St. James the Great) suggest that our parish is named for this St. James.
