The History of the Picture

  The photo above is shared by our parish administrator, someone with a long history with St. James'. Luann tells us about the history of the items in the picture. The picture of St. James' was painted by Dori Smith (deceased member), mother of Diane Umile, one of the original members of Forever Endeavour. Acolyte Festival National Cathedral 2016

St. James' was represented at the National Acolyte Festival in Washington DC on Saturday, October 8. Macayla Symonds and mom Kim made the trip to our nation's capitol to participate in the event for the first time. Macayla had the privledge of having her picture taken with Right Reverend Gene Robinson IX Bishop of New Hampshire.  Kim was able to get a couple of additional photos of the general happenings at the festival. Picnic Fun For Everyone

The Membership, Communication & Evangelism Committee sponsored the 2016 Fall Picnic. In honor of the summer Olympic games, they turned the family friendly event into the St. James' Olympic Picnic! Troops Sunday

About Saint James

There are a number of Saint Jameses in the New Testament – Saint James the brother of Jesus (‘St. James the Just’), Saint James the son of Zebedee (‘St. James the Great’) and Saint James the son of Alphaeus (‘St. James the Less’). The shells that adorn the outside of the parish hall (a symbol of St. James the Great) suggest that our parish is named for this St. James.
