St. James’ was represented at the National Acolyte Festival in Washington DC on Saturday, October 8. Macayla Symonds and mom Kim made the trip to our nation’s capitol to participate in the event for the first time.
Macayla had the privledge of having her picture taken with Right Reverend Gene Robinson IX Bishop of New Hampshire. Kim was able to get a couple of additional photos of the general happenings at the festival.

There are a number of Saint Jameses in the New Testament – Saint James the brother of Jesus (‘St. James the Just’), Saint James the son of Zebedee (‘St. James the Great’) and Saint James the son of Alphaeus (‘St. James the Less’). The shells that adorn the outside of the parish hall (a symbol of St. James the Great) suggest that our parish is named for this St. James.
